Deso® Fat Dissolving Injections use deoxycholic acid sodium salt to break down and eliminate localised fat deposits. The formula contains deoxycholic acid (7.5%), a polymer blend (0.5%), buffer systems (4.2%), water for injection (87%), and sodium chloride (0.8%).

Deoxycholic acid disrupts fat cell membranes, making them more permeable. This leads to the breakdown of fat cells, releasing their contents to be naturally processed by the lymphatic system. The buffer systems stabilise the solution, ensuring effective delivery to the target area.

Deso® uses ‘intralipotherapy’ for accurate treatment of stubborn areas, such as around the neck. It is an ideal choice for those seeking targeted fat reduction without surgery.

Deso® has received CE approval for use in the UK, meaning it meets all the required health and safety standards. Although Deso® is very safe, the injections must be administered by a medical professional. At VL Aesthetics, our Deso® treatments are carried out by a fully-registered nurse with over 30 years of professional experience.

As long as you are generally healthy and do not have any skin diseases or infections in the treated area, there are very few medical reasons why you should not undergo this treatment. However, Deso® is not recommended for women who are pregnant or breastfeeding. It is also not recommended for people who have been diagnosed with lipodystrophy or any pathological condition.
