How Lipofirm® Works
Lipofirm® uses radiofrequency waves to target fat cells, get rid of cellulite, and tighten skin. Unlike for example Liposuction, Lipofirm® does not involve surgery and is non-invasive. As such, it is a quicker, more comfortable, and a more cost-effective way to get the results you are looking for. There are no injections or anaesthetic, you don’t need to take time out to recover, and after each session you will be able to clearly see the improvements that it’s made.
The Lipofirm® technology uniquely combines TriLipo Radiofrequency (RF) and TriLipo Dynamic Muscle Activation (DMA). Working in parallel using a single applicator, they create a synergistic effect that delivers non-invasive fat removal, lymphatic drainage, and skin tightening. Morphometric reductions are visible from the first treatment. Long term body shaping is achieved in a minimal number of treatments.
The triple action of TriLipo technology consists of RF deep volumetric heating combined with internal muscle contraction and external mechanical force. The RF energy generates heat through tissue resistance in both the dermal and subcutaneous layers. Selective and focused electro-heating of the skin stimulates and increases both fat metabolism in the subcutaneous fat layer and collagen remodelling in the dermal layer. In the subcutaneous fat layer, the thermal effect accelerates the natural fat metabolism process and the release of liquid fat from the fat cells into the extra-cellular matrix.
Drainage of the released liquid fat is accelerated by simultaneously applying internal and external pressure on the fat layer. Internally, DMA pulses stimulate the muscle layer causing the muscle to contract. This contraction elevates the muscle and pushes the fat cells up towards the surface. Simultaneously, the mechanical pressure of the applicator presses the skin from above. The combined internal and external pressure increases the removal of the liquid fat via accelerated lymphatic drainage.
The simultaneous effect of the RF and the forced drainage results in homogenous heating and in accelerated blood and lymph circulation that optimizes tissue oxygenation and detoxification. In the dermal layer, focused RF energy heats the collagen fibers causing them to contract, resulting in immediate skin tightening and smoothening. In addition, fibroblasts’ metabolism is accelerated leading to collagen regeneration and long term skin tightening and firming.

Very safe. Lipofirm® has been rigorously tested and is medically certified – One of the hardest certificates to obtain in the scientific industry.
However, although the technology is very safe, it is not suitable for people with certain medical conditions. If you have had liver or kidney failure, heart disease, or if you wear a pacemaker, Lipofirm® will not be suitable for you. It is also not possible to treat pregnant or lactating women with the technology.

There are usually no side effects at all, but a small number of people encounter mild issues such as redness of the skin, excessive thirst, or nausea immediately after the treatment. These can all be countered by drinking water and will disappear in a few hours.
