A subtle lift without surgery: Thread lifts for natural rejuvenation
A subtle lift without surgery: Thread lifts for natural rejuvenation
As we age, our skin loses elasticity and collagen, leading to sagging, fine lines, and wrinkles. While surgical treatments can help, many people want a subtler, less invasive option. This is where thread lifts come in.
Thread lifts offer a safe, effective way to lift and tighten ageing skin through minimally invasive placement of dissolvable threads under the skin. The threads act as support structures that lift sagging tissues back into place and stimulate natural collagen production.
The best part? Thread lifts provide beautiful, rejuvenating results with little downtime. The procedure takes about an hour and most patients can resume normal activities the next day.
If you want to refresh your look without drastic measures, thread lifts are an ideal alternative to surgery. Their minimally invasive nature provides a subtle but transformative rejuvenation. Book a consultation now to learn more about how thread lifts can help you achieve a more youthful, toned appearance.

Aptos is a revolutionary thread lifting method that has won several prestigious awards (including 'Best Tightening Thread' at the Anti-Ageing Medicine (AMEC) awards in Paris).
Unlike conventional PDO (polydioxanone) threads, Aptos are made from polylactic acid, caprolactone, and hyaluronic acid - P(LACL)HA. This unique formula has several important advantages over PDO threads, including:
Thread lifts are very safe if administered correctly by a medical professional – Dr. Abs practises and teaches aesthetics internationally and is more than qualified to carry out the treatments.
However, although thread lifts are very safe, they may not be suitable for people with certain medical conditions or for pregnant / breastfeeding women.
We carry out a full medical assessment before starting your treatment, so if you are not a suitable candidate, we will find out before your treatment begins.
The treatment itself is relatively painless. However, the most common side effects are tenderness and mild bruising around the treated areas.
Should you have any concerns after your treatment, Dr. Abs will be happy to conduct a telephone consultation with you.
The treatment can take between 20-60 minutes, depending on the number of threads you require.
At your consultation we will advise you about the length of your treatment.
Your skin will look tighter and lifted immediately after the treatment is complete.
Due to the special properties of Aptos, your skin will continue to rejuvenate over the next few weeks to months, giving a younger, glowing appearance.
There is usually very little downtime with Aptos - Most patients are able to resume work the same day after the procedure.
For patients who require several threads, there can be more discomfort and a short recovery time.
At your consultation, we will advise you about the downtime you may expect.
