Microblading Eyebrows

Your microbladed brows can last 12-18 months depending on your skin type and lifestyle. A top up after 6 months can help improve the longevity of the results.

Microblading is a form of permanent makeup, however, instead of using a traditional tattooing machine, we use a manual hand tool to create individual hair strokes (the microblade has very fine needles to draw each hair and deposit the correct colour pigment in the skin, creating natural-looking results).

Unlike tattooed eyebrows, with microblading the ink is not placed as deep beneath the surface of the skin. This means that, as your skin naturally cycles through, the ink will fade / disappear over time.

Common terms for microblading include 'microstroking', 'micropigmentation', 'brow embroidery', 'eyebrow feathering', 'Phibrows', and '3D brows'.

During the initial free consultation, we will talk you through our treatment plan and discuss how to improve your eyebrows given your individual characteristics.

We will also go through your medical history to make sure that you are suitable for the treatment.

Microblading is often described as 'scratchy' rather than 'painful'.

During the treatment, we use a topical and secondary anaesthetic to keep you comfortable - most people don’t feel much at all once the secondary anaesthetic is applied.

Most people look perfectly normal after the treatment and can resume their daily activities. However, if you are prone to rosacea or have very sensitive skin, you might look a little red around the area for a couple of hours post treatment (but this will fade quickly).

Your brows might appear slightly darker on the second day after the treatment, and then fade during the second week - this is due to the pigment being ‘hidden’ by the healing skin and is nothing to worry about.

There may also be some light shedding / flaking around the treatment area.

The results are extremely natural and will last around 12-18 months (a top up is recommended around the 6 month mark to prolong the look).

The treatment can take up to 2.5 hours in total, depending on the time required for shaping.

Microblading is a great option for almost anyone looking for semi-permanent, hyper-realistic brows.

It is perfect for those looking to fill out over plucked or sparse brows, or for anyone who has alopecia or experienced hair loss following chemotherapy.

Unfortunately, the treatment is not suitable for people who:

• Are pregnant or are breastfeeding.
• Are suffering from certain medical conditions.
• Have a bleeding disorder.
• Use blood-thinning medications.
• Have recently had cosmetic injectables near the treatment area.
• Have a viral infection or disease.
• Have rosacea, psoriasis, or skin irritations near the treatment area.
